To bring confidence back to the Land of Smiles, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is hosting eight promotional campaigns in Bangkok and big cities throughout this month and the next under the theme of "Kod Muangthai Hai Hai Noey" (Hug Thailand). A variety of activities, including cultural and art performances, trade fairs and exhibitions on tourist spots and local ways of life, will reflect the outstanding characteristics of each region. Western European residents will receive promotional material from Yemen this September as the country tries to convince more tourists to visit. The Yemeni Tourist Promotion Council has decided to start its promotional campaign in France, Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom next month before approaching people living in the neighboring Gulf countries, local Yemeni media has reported. The executive director of the council in the Ministry of Tourism, Fatima Al-Harbi, said that the campaign would include presentations of popular folk songs and dances and distribution of a large number of brochures and photographs, as well as show documentaries on tourist and archaeological sites in all Yemeni provinces.
