ECM Annual Conference and General Assembly, Turin
03-06 June 2015
As our sunniest days are ahead of us, I am glad to let you know that Toposophy currently participates in the Annual Meeting & General Assembly of European Cities Marketing (ECM) taking place in Turin from the 3rd to the 6th of June.
All Toposophy experts are in the midst of a rather busy period with significant speaker engagements in international events (e.g. TBEX Europe 2015 at Costa Brava and the 111th bi-annual meeting of European Travel Agents and Tour Operators' Associations' at Montenegro) and the launch of new projects such as the reorganization of the ‘This Is MY Athens’ visitor greeters program.
At the same time, I would not miss a brilliant opportunity of visiting the home of La Vecchia Signora and first capital of Italy, before Florence and Rome, in order to get a good grasp of the latest developments and trends in the field of city tourism.
Naturally, the closer we were getting to the event the more the excitement inside Toposophy was growing, since we all had been waiting for the official announcement about becoming an industry partner of ECM. As part of this agreement, Toposophy will deliver a high-quality research report on behalf of ECM until the end of 2015.
In this great occasion, I would not miss another brilliant opportunity of meeting old fellas and building new contacts throughout a series of knowledge group meetings and themed workshops. Based on our favorite research fields, I had penciled into the calendar the knowledge group meetings for digital destinations. But beware of our growing interest in leading destinations and social engagement programs, which are totally consistent with the agenda of the key seminar about ‘Creating the City: How New Events and Infrastructure Projects can Change the Image’. It is therefore realistic that today I will spend a notable amount of time in attending the most appreciated showcases from the member cities of ECM during the various sessions taking place in the second day of the event.
Stay tuned for more news in coming days and feel free to contact us at info@toposophy.com and mpsarros@toposophy.com in case you would like to meet me in Turin.
